Program Objective:This program is designed for individuals who have no previous school bus driving experience, prepares the student for CDL Temporary Permit Test, CDL Skills Test, and entry level employment as a driver in the bus/truck industry.
2 WEEKS TOTAL TIME FOR COMPLETION (Full-Time, Days, Monday-Saturday)
Classroom Instruction consists of introducing students to the trucking
industry, its regulations, laws, taxes, and standards. It prepares students
for CDL Temporary Permit Test and covers a wide range of subjects to develop
truck driving techniques, maneuvers, and safety awareness through instructor's
presentations accompanied by video demonstrations and student discussions.
Range /Road Training
Site Training consists of teaching students how to properly maintain their
equipment, along with hands-on driving techniques and maneuvers introduced
during classroom training. Backing maneuvers are practiced at an advanced level to
better develop students’ driving skills.
STUDENTS WILL RECEIVE A CERTIFICATE UPON GRADUATION
